TIANJIN PORT EUROASIA INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER TERMINAL CO., LTD. SETS NEW RECORD ON CONTAINER HANDLING EFFICIENCY AGAIN
At around 4 p.m. on 25 March 2020, with the assistance of “Jin Gang Vessel No. 21” (津港輪21), “Jin Gang Vessel No. 22” (津港輪22) and “Firefight Tugboat No. 20” (消拖20), the container vessel “COSCO Italy” (中遠義大利) gradually set off from Berth “N7” of Tianjin Port Euroasia International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. (“Euroasia”) upon the completion of cargo handling service of 11,859 TEUs. In this round of service, Euroasia had set a new historical berthing-time efficiency record with an average hourly handling rate of 265 TEUs in the “COSCO Shipping Western American Line” The “COSCO Shipping Western America Line” is one of the most significant “premium container routes” of the Port of Tianjin. Vessels depart from the Port of Tianjin, go to the Port of Long Beach and the Port of Seattle along the west coast of America, and reach the Port of Prince Rupert in Canada. It passes by Qingdao Port, Shanghai Port and Ningbo-Zhoushan Port en route. 2020 is an important year for Tianjin Port Group (天津港集團), the controlling shareholder of Tianjin Port Development (天津港發展), for implementing the important instructions requested by the General Secretary Xi Jinping and propelling the construction of world’s leading ports to a new stage. All employees spare no efforts in carrying out the action plan for the “year of efficiency”.
